I asked my husband to describe me in one word. Unfortunately that word wasn’t a part of my personality I’d like to highlight. Not in this venue anyway. I guess the easiest way to find out who I am is to read the blogs. Good, bad or bizarre, you will see me, in what I write.
Welcome to my world. You might want to “duck and cover”.
Life offers up many, many lessons. Since our time here is fleeting, then we have to learn them on the fly; where we can, when we can. I learned a great deal from Camel Poo. How about you?
“For a long time it had seemed to me, that life was about to begin – real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way. Something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life”.
~Fr. Alfred D’Souza
Let’s remove the obstacles and learn together!
Who am I? Professionally, I am a 25 year veteran of communications, marketing, non-profits, and sales who has explored and had success in various venues from radio broadcasting, to digital marketing, to travel/tourism, to historical non-profits. I love challenges. I love taking a project from zero to unmitigated achievement; I love building a team; I thrive on doing jobs that “can’t be done”. Okay, let’s face it. I’m an achievement junkie. Shoot me.
Who am I away from the job? The challenge enthusiast portion of my personality spills over into someone who seeks out new things and yet loves the mundane. I love to travel, read, and drink good wine. I love to come home from work feeling like I’ve accomplished something and helped someone else achieve their goals. I have a close circle of people to whom I am passionately devoted and who I know will always have my back.
In short, I am a woman who has a wonderful life, but is constantly striving to fulfill dreams and pay it forward.
You’re welcome to join me on my journey!
Thank you for reading. I hope you come back often and bring friends; I love a good party!
